Grosmont is a small hilltop village set in the beautiful countryside of the Welsh Borders. It has a Norman Castle and Church, a Post Office and general store, a tearoom and a friendly village Pub.
The Cathedral city of Hereford, Ros on Wye, Abergavenny and Monmouth are all 12 miles. Hay on Wye, famous for its book shops and literary festival is 20 miles away.
The Cottage is owned by Tim and Maggie Brameld and is attached to our home, which dates from 1611. The cottage was built for the village baker in 1827. It has a small but well equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, fridge and microwave oven. The sitting room has a dining area and is comfortably furnished. It has a wood burning stove, T.V and a radio/ CD player. A steep staircase leads to a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a mixer shower over the bath and our boiler provides the central hating. Fuel and electricity are inclusive and bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided. There is a sitting out area with chairs in our garden, which overlooks the castle. Washing and drying facilities are available. One small dog is welcome. Non smokers only please.
